Louise Phillips

Louise Phillips was called from this earth to her heavenly home on Monday, February 14, 2022. She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Santos and Stephen Santos, both of Woodbridge, Virginia and her daughter Debra Santos Wright (Norman) of Falls Church, Virginia. Her eldest son, Jerry Santos, predeceased her and his widow, Terry Santos resides in Pensacola, Florida. Louise had three beloved grandchildren, Amy Wright, Holly Wright Cruz (Ricardo) and Evan Wright (Diana), and one great granddaughter, Giuliana Belle. At age 88, Louise felt most blessed to have recently been able to welcome little Giuliana into her life, and affectionately called her “my little sweet pea”. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, most of whom reside in Rhode Island where she grew up, and others who live in Florida.

There will be a visitation at Murphy’s Funeral Home in Falls Church (1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church, Virginia 22046) on Friday, February 25th between 5-8pm. Cremation rites have been honored and services will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Louise will be inurned along-side her beloved late husband, Orma “Buddy” Phillips.

Louise was an avid animal advocate who supported many shelter and rescue organizations throughout her lifetime. To honor her memory, her family asks that en lieu of flowers; please consider a memory donation to the ASPCA, her preferred charity.
