Lynnore Chaiffre Sipes, beloved wife, mother, and Memaw, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her husband Don, children Doug (Kathy), Anita (Mike), Nancy (Billy), her grandchildren Alina, Nick, Dylan, Kyle and Gabrielle, and her sister-in-law Beth (Dan).
Lynnore was an animal lover and avid equestrian, spending much of her youth showing horses and fox hunting. She was very proud to qualify for the Olympic Equestrian team, but chose not to go. She taught many others how to ride and care for horses, and loved to see them succeed.
She worked for the Fairfax County Police Department, most notably as Administrative Assistant IV to Deputy Chief of Police Suzanne Devlin, a job she absolutely loved.
She had a quiet fiery strength that she passed down to her children and grandchildren. Nothing was impossible to her.
She will be missed dearly.
