Margaret Shortt Wallace, age 95 of Bethesda, Maryland died at Caton Merchant House in Manassas, VA on Friday, March 23, 2012. She was a member of Little Flower Church in Bethesda, MD. Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husband John M. Wallace, Jr. Survivors include her sister Mae Shortt Merchant of Manassas, VA, her brother Keith Shortt of Tucson, AZ and by numerous nieces and nephews to include: Linda Merchant Bell of Dallas, TX, Carol Merchant Kirby of Washington, D.C. and Dr. Wilson Caton Merchant III of Richmond, VA. The family will receive friends at All Saints Catholic Church Chapel, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, VA on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 9:45 AM until 10:45 AM at which time the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park.
