Maria Barbara Scheiter

A celebration of life will be held January 28, 2017 at 11am at Murphy Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA followed by a celebration lunch.

Maria was born to Martin and Barbara Attenhauser on January 3, 1925 in Germany. She married Leo Scheiter on January 4, 1951. They immigrated to America in 1956 and settled in Falls Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Leo Scheiter and her sister Resi Weihrauch.

She is survived by sister Luise Rangl, her three daughters, Mary Lou Scarbrough, Heide Rohland & Lori Strong and by her 6 grandchildren, William Owen Jr., Jessie Strongsmith, Corey Scarbrough, Rich Strong, Grant Rohland and Brooke Strong and a great grandson Sawyer Strongsmith.

Maria, mom, Oma didn’t like to wear black because she said it made her look old, so please dress comfortably in your favorite color.
