On Friday September 26th, Meredith Pierce Dozier of Herndon, Va departed this world and joined her Heavenly Father. She is survived by her two sons, Tradd Dozier (Mara) of Reston, Va, and Rand Dozier (Jen) of Daleville, Va. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Taylor of Sterling, Va; Claire, Chase, and Callie of Daleville, Va; and Jackson of Reston, Va; brother Raiford Pierce (Ann) of McLean, Va; sister Alycon Pierce of Falls Church, Va; niece Leigh P. Holley (Patrick; Pierce and Palmer) of Washington, DC; aunt Alice P. Norwood of California, MD; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held at Murphy's Funeral Home in Falls Church, Va on Friday October 3rd 2-4pm and 6-8pm, with service to follow there Saturday October 4th at 11:30. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Falls Church, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
