Nandranie Sankar

Jamaica, Vienna Virginia, and Silver Spring Maryland, departed from this world on

November 12th, 2021, surrounded by her family. She is the wife of the late Rudall

Sankar, survived by her children: Dr. Hansranie Sankar-Banhan, Dr. Shukdeo Sankar,

Radhika Sankar-Rothery, Dropatie Sankar, Darshinee Loney, and Malini Cunje.

Mother-in-law to Tara Sankar, Anthony Rothery, Brand Loney, Gabriel Cunje, and the

late Eddie Banhan. Grandmother to Dr. Rishika Chin and husband Marclen Chin, Tarika

Sankar, Aleksander Sankar, Arianna Sankar, Crystal Cunje, Aliya Loney, Chitra Sankar,

and Nathan Loney. Her honorary children include Savitri Roopnarine and Shannon

Ragnauth. She is the sister of Sheriff, Motilal, Dhanpaul, Surjee, Kamal, Sista, Satie, and

the late Beti, Chundoo, and Mukut. She held many family members dear to her heart and

touched the lives of many others along her way.

A prayer service for Nandranie will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 12:00 PM at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. A visitation will occur Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. A witness cremation will occur Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042.
