Nicolas Izzo

Nicolas Ennio Izzo, 23, of McLean, VA passed away into the arms of Our Lady on April 20, 2019. Nicolas is survived by his loving family. His parents, Audrey Anne (Sottile) and Frank Izzo, and siblings, Francesca L. Izzo and Ryan M. Izzo, as well as grandparents Michael Sottile of McLean, VA, and Inge (Hast) and Ennio Izzo of Columbus, OH. It also includes his aunt, Julie (Izzo) Wander, and uncle, Michael Wander, of Columbus, OH, as well as his cousin, Leah Wander. Nicolas is preceded in death by his grandmother, Bridget T. (Lee) Sottile. Nicolas was a graduate of Langley HS (’14) as well as the University of Notre Dame (’18) (BS in Physics and Chinese with Honors). He was awaiting the start of his career with the National Security Agency in Hawaii. Our Nicolas was an extremely bright young man with a great sense of humor. He was an intense competitor and a very sensitive soul. A mass will be held to celebrate Nicolas’ life on Monday, April 29, 2019, at Saint Luke Catholic Church in McLean at 1pm. Services will be followed by a reception for family and friends at Flaherty Hall (adjacent to the sanctuary).
