

Patience was the daughter of Eleanore Kyle and Admiral Willard A. Saunders of Harold Harbor, Kyle Point, MD. She attended Mary Washington College before serving over 30 years in the health care field. Her fondest memories always included her childhood overseas, military life, her career and community of neighbors.
Patience was an avid reader, gardener, family historian and spent many years involved in wild life rescue. Over her career Patience was influential raising mental health awareness across the region and was honored by the Governor of Maryland for her achievements. She lived in the Holmes Run Community for over 40 years and recently received the “Distinguished Citizen Award” for her service and dedication to the community.
Patience is survived by her bother Cmdr Wesley W Saunders, sister Eleanore Sunderland, son, T. Wade Herren, III, daughter, Katherine Kyle Mody, grandchildren; Max Mody, Mikelyn Pearson, Alex, Erika and Zack Mody, Kaydence and Tyler Pearson and many nieces, nephews, family, close friends and neighbors.
Patience will be honored in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wildlife Rescue League, WRL, P.O. Box 704, Falls Church, VA 22040.
