Patty Brooking

Patty was born in Winchester, VA to Walter and Alma Brooking on December 10, 1953. She went raised in Arlington, VA and graduated from Yorktown High School.

She worked as a Program Assistant for the National Science Foundation for 47 years.

Patty lived a life filled with love, purpose, and resilience. She was known for her generous heart, sharp wit, and her ability to find joy in the simple things — whether it was a shared laugh over tea, a long walk outdoors, or time spent with her daughter, son-in-law and grandsons. You would always find her with her phone in her hand taking pictures wherever she went.

Patty is preceded in death by Walter and Alma (parents), Woody (brother) and Jimmy (brother).

Patty is survived by Kerensa and Carlos (Spouse), Nicholas and Jacob (grandsons) and Roger (brother).

A celebration of Patty’s life will be held at 4 pm on Friday, April 25th at National Funeral Home & Memorial Park at 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church 22042. Reception to follow.

Though she is no longer with us in body, Patricia’s spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
