Paul H Ephross

On Thursday, January 12, 2017, Paul Hullman Ephross, Ph.D., of Rockville, MD. Beloved husband of 26 years to Joan C. Weiss; loving father of Sara, Peter (Bonnie), David (Tami) and stepchildren Elisa, Carolyn (Mark); dear brother of Arthur and the late Gladys and Julia; adored grandfather of Joshua, Hannah, Ellie, Olive, Jacob, Samuel, Lily and Lila.

Born in Boston in 1935, Paul was a professor for almost 40 years at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. He had a private practice in psychotherapy and was a long-time volunteer in the Jewish community and an accomplished musician.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 15 at 10 a.m. at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD. Interment to follow at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Paul Ephross Scholarship Fund, University of MD School of Social Work; Mazon - A Jewish Response to Hunger; or JSSA Hospice, Rockville, MD. Arrangements by Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, under the Jewish Funeral Practices Committee of Greater Washington Contract.
