

Paul Ching-I Fang, devoted husband and loving father, grandfather and brother, passed away on Monday November 1, 2010 at the age of 72. Paul was born in Anhui Province, China on November 16, 1937, and he spent his childhood years in Henan Province. His family survived the Japanese invasion of China during World War II and then escaped to Taiwan in 1949 during the communist revolution. Paul later immigrated to the United States in 1964 to complete his graduate school education in Massachusetts and live the American dream. His professional career as an engineer lasted for 37 years, 25 of which were spent in civilian service with the U.S. Government. He finally retired in 2003, and enjoyed the last remaining years of his life in quiet retirement at his residence in McLean, VA. Paul Fang is survived by his wife So-fei, his younger siblings Theresa and Peter, his two sons Wei-chiao and Henry, and his two grandsons Ethan and George.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Paul’s funeral services to be held on Saturday November 13th at National Funeral Home Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042 from 1:00 to 3:30p with a reception to follow at 4:30pm.
