Peggy Lou Thomas, 91, of Alexandria, Virginia, passed peacefully on January 16, 2024, surrounded by her close family. She was born November 22, 1932, to Jane Hotinger Showalter and Edward Porter Showalter. Peggy married Leonard Cleveland Thomas in October 1951, who passed on June 17, 1995.
Peggy, the most loving, generous, and devoted friend, sister, mother, and grandmother is survived by her brother, Phillip; children, Cathy, Sheree, and Leonard; and grandchildren, Lindsay, Jackson, Mitchell, Meredith, Lesley, and Sean.
Funeral Services will be held on February 7, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., at Quantico National Cemetery at 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA, 22172. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
