Dear Aunt Jeannie, I will miss your presence and our conversations as I’m sure all who knew and loved you will. You taught us so much about love and staying connected. Your smile and laughter could brighten any day. You were my Mom, Skip’s, best friend since high school. I know you will live on in many hearts. RIP beautiful lady.

Rita, May the peace of God be with you. I will continue to remember our time together as co-employees at Falls Church High School.

I met Rita 70 years ago when we were in High School and members of Tau Beta Phi Sorority. She later helped me get a job at the Insurance Company in DC where she was employed. Later on, we both moved on to jobs at the Pentagon. I was thrilled to be her Maid of Honor when she and Joe were married, and honored to be a God Mother to her first child, John, when he was Baptized.
Through the years we stayed in touch with each other, and began to meet monthly with our former Sorority members known as "The Lunch Bunch". Our Lunch Bunch had a lot of fun and laughs on our road trips to and from the different places we visited, especially when we drove to Niagara Falls.

God Bless you Rita. You will me missed but not forgotten!!
Love you,

Nancy Evinger

Rita was a very much loved and dear friend for the past 47 years. The Brocatos and Evingers quickly became an integral part or each others lives in so many ways. In fact Matt often referred to Rita as his third grandmother.
We loved her so very much and will miss her dearly!!
May she rest in peace.

My heart goes out to all. Michael, Karen, John, Mary, Bill, Liz and Roxanne, I miss you all. I also thank you all for making Andrew and Alec feel the comfort and importance of what family is all about.

I never heard the term "Nana" before Andrew and Alec became part of the Brocato family. I did not know the meaning of "Nana". Now I do. This is what she means to me:

Nana- A loving yet headstrong matriarch for the family as a whole. She will tell you what she thinks, like it or not. She is usually right. She will be there for you when you think everyone else has abandoned you. She has an open heart that forgives your mistakes and is always there for you. She will pick up the ball you dropped and safely hold it until you are ready to take it back. I am so fortunate to have had "Nana" help nurture my children. They have her qualities endowed to them as did Terry. I will do my best to encourage my sons to live life like a "Brocato" and carry on her legacy.

I will miss her.
