Rita was born in Pittsburgh, PA, to Romano and Maddalena Martin on June 22, 1932. She went to high school in Pittsburg and she graduated from Business Training College in Pittsburgh. She married Edward Coyne on June 25, 1966, in Washington, DC.
She worked as a Legal Secretary for the Washington, DC, US District Court for 5 years and for Crowell & Moring for 25 years.
She was involved in the Society of Professional Secretaries.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Mario Martin, and a sister, Gina Delisle.
Rita is survived by Edward Coyne, her husband.
Memorials may be given the YMCA of Greater Pittsburg and the Chesterfield County Fire & EMS.
A memorial gathering will be held at 10 am on Saturday June 26 at the National Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042.
Burial will follow at the National Memorial Park at the same address. Arrangements are by the National Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
