Deepest condolences to Bob's family and friends.  I worked with him for several years with the Department of Animal Control in Fairfax County.  I hope his family will enjoy having the photographs I found of him from that time.

Bobby was the best Brother-In-Law any one could ever have! Hard worker who never stopped whether he was at work or home. Would do anything to help you and never complain about it. Devoted husband, father and grandfather and did everything he could to make them all safe and happy. We shared many good times together making jokes at each other. I will miss him so very much. So Until The Twelfth Of Never, When We Are All Together, I will miss you forever! So Rest In Peace Brave Warrior, Your Work on Earth is Done!

Bobby was one of the hardest workers I had every worked with and was dedicated to his job. He came to work every day and went out and served the citizens with pride and dedication. He had one of the sharpest minds and memories of anyone I knew. I was reminded by him of the first time we met. I at the time was working with the County Fire and Rescue Department. We were on a house fire and we were in the house attempting to extinguish the fire. The rule was you NEVER went anywhere alone in hazardous situations. When the low air pressure alarm on my partners self contained air pack sounded we started out of the building. As we were following what we thought was the hose line back out ... one that we had closed off we felt a surge in it . I said to my partner... I did turn the line off didn't I ? When we got outside the owner of the house was in the front yard jumping up and down screaming about his pets in the house. It was at this time we found out that what we thought was our hose line was a 13 ft Albino python snake. When Bobby arrived to take it away I was standing on top of the fire truck a safe DISTANCE away. I still consider the fact that he saved my life.. Bobby was a true friend  and admired by many. I was truly sorry to hear of his death. He loved his wife Katherine granddaughter Mindy and sons more than life itself. He will be greatly miss.

I had the privilege of working with Bob at the Animal Shelter for many years. I will never forget his uncanny ability for remembering where dogs lived. Our paths crossed occasionally after he became a Parking Enforcement Officer and I transferred to the PD and I always enjoyed catching up with him. He was very proud of his grandkids.
