

Rose Margaret LoBianco passed away peacefully on February 1, 2018 after a long illness. Rose was born on April 3, 1923 in Washington, DC. She was the daughter of Paul and Josephine Mandolia and beloved wife of the late Frank Lombardo. Rose is survived by her loving husband and constant companion of 35 years, Frank LoBianco; sisters Jane Campagnoli and Josephine Chase, and husband George; sons Frank Lombardo, Jr., and wife Linda, and Michael Lombardo, and wife Lauren; stepdaughters Donna Bixler, and husband Tony, and Peggy Fitzgerald, and husband Gene. Rose, also, leaves behind a host of loving relatives and friends.
Rose cared deeply for everyone she met. Her greatest joy in life was her family, whom she supported, encouraged and loved until the day she died. Rose had a tremendous faith and was a devout wife, mother and Christian. The family would like to thank the loyal staff at the Virginian Continuing Care Retirement Community who provided Rose with care during the final years of her life.
Rose will be laid to rest at National Memorial Park on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 2 pm. The family asks that guests please gather at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia 22042, by 1:45 pm for the graveside service, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are made in Rose's memory to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) or by mail, Alzheimer's Association National Capital Area Chapter, 8180 Greensboro Drive, suite 400, McLean, Virginia 22102.
