He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on July 24, 1943. He attended Harding High School in Charlotte and immediately joined the U.S. Navy. Following his Naval service, he began working at Amato's as a bookkeeper. Next, he began taking accounting classes at Temple University. Next, he worked with Wilson's Men's store for over 10 years as a comptroller. His last job was working at ATI (which became Stratford) and worked as a salesperson.
He was married to Sandra Marlene Chosky on June 18, 1965. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his wife: Sandra, his daughter and son-in law: Marcey Joy Brothers and Samuel Isaac Brothers, and his grandchildren, Jacob Charles Brothers and Jordyn Eve Brothers.
