I just found out about this. Heartbroken. :-( Coming to Holywood, I had the pleasure of being Scotts roommate for a short time and working with him. What a unique individual, such talent. Of course I had to share my pizza with Spike the Macaw, actually had no choice. He had some friends over one day, and one of them said they just finished shooting a film called Stand By Me, it was cool to hang out with Gregg Bradley. Stuff like that went on from time to time. After I left LA I did not hear from Scott for many years till we re-connected on Facebook. I wish we were able to connect sooner, I had such a deal of respect for him. So much life left, such a loss.

My deepest condolences to all of Scott's family. I met him back in 2004, and we quickly formed a friendship. He was always kind to me. I was in awe of his intelligence, love of history, ability to easily absorb and retain knowledge, and of course his love for birds. Scott and I had some fun and fascinating conversations over the years; I learned so much from him. I am deeply saddened by his passing, but so grateful for having known him. May he Rest In Peace.

To Scott's Family,

So deeply saddened by the loss of Scott, your dearest loved one.

It was I who saw him last, less than one second before his death.

I wished that there was more that I could have done for him in his final moments.

May he rest in peace for eternity.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth A. Ashack
