For many years, she shared her life with Marty Lichtenstein, her devoted long-time partner and constant companion. Their bond was one of unwavering support, humor, and genuine affection, a partnership that enriched both of their lives and the lives of everyone around them.
Sharon dedicated more than 30 years to teaching math, guiding students across multiple grade levels with patience, encouragement, and a belief that every child could succeed. Although she taught many grades, eighth grade held a special place in her heart, reflected in her personalized license plate EGMT (Eighth Grade Math Teacher). Her classroom was a place of warmth, structure, and possibility, and generations of students remember her with gratitude.
She is survived by her children, Martin Rosendhal and Rachel Rosendhal, whom she loved deeply and whose lives reflect her values of compassion, resilience, and integrity.
She is also remembered with love by Marty’s children Donald, Joseph, and Aaron Lichtenstein, and by his daughters-in-laws Cecilia and Laura Lichtenstein. Sharon shared a special and loving relationship with Marty’s grandchildren Devin, Camille, Ana, and Joey, who were embraced by her and treated as part of her family. She delighted in being part of their lives and took great joy in watching them grow.
Sharon will be remembered for her warmth, her generosity of spirit, and the way she made every person feel seen and valued. Her presence brought comfort, her laughter brought joy, and her love created a sense of home wherever she was.
She also loved crossword puzzles, logic puzzles, Hallmark movies, and endearingly bad TV shows, small joys that brought her daily delight and that will forever bring a smile to those who knew her.
Her memory will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched and in the stories, traditions, and love she leaves behind.
