Passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2013, of Macon, NC, formerly of Falls Church, VA. Beloved wife of Ray F. Lambert. Loving mother of daughter and son-in-law Christine and Christopher Mitchell, daughter Melinda Lambert and her significant other Dave Sackett, son Ray Lambert and his significant other Maria Wayne, daughter and son-in-law Valerie and Owen Perry. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Sandra and Lewis Reid and sister and sister-in-law of Sharon and Jerry Williams. Adored grandmother of Bryce Buckles, Madelin Perry, Chelsee Mitchell, Hailie Perry and Skyler Perry. Family and friends are invited to her visitation on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 1102 W. Broad Street, Falls Church, VA. Her funeral service will be Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Shirley’s name be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
