Shirley Anita Bohn was a native Washingtonian. She was the only child of Lina Croxton and Russell Rano Bohn and grew up in Takoma Park, MD. In 1958 she married James P. Harrell of Savannah, GA and began her adventure as an Air Force wife, living where his orders sent them domestically and abroad. Together they had one daughter, Suzanne Marie. After the death of her first husband, Shirley remarried in 1969 to John G. Sheehan of Baltimore, MD. Prior to his death in 1986, they jointly owned and operated several successful businesses in Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Northern Virginia in the varied fields of Medical, Labor and Office staffing, publishing, philately, and entrepreneurial education. The family lived in Reston, VA where Shirley was active in her community and began another successful career, this time in real estate, which she continued until 2006, associated with Long & Foster Realtors, Shannon & Luchs, Better Homes and others. In recent years Shirley lived at the Lewinsville Retirement Residence in McLean, VA. She was an avid reader and a great student of life; she created heartfelt poetry and enjoyed discussing both current and historical world events. She is survived by her daughter Suzanne and son-in-law Edward G. Kraus
