Steven Gregory Schmidt, age 54, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 in Roanoke, VA at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Steven grew up in Arlington County and attended St. James Elementary School and Archbishop O’Connell High School.
He is survived by his father, Daniel H. Schmidt (step-mother Mary J. Schmidt), brother, Daniel B. Schmidt, paternal Aunt, Margot Scarborough (John), Uncle, William Schmidt (Georgie), Uncle, Karl Schmidt (Patricia), Aunt, Barbara Schmidt; his maternal Aunts, Joan Jolly and Lila Major, along with numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carole I. Rector and his Uncle, John Thomas Schmidt.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad Street in Falls Church, VA from 1-2pm. An interment will follow at National Memorial Park.
