Surinder Kumar Mittal

Surinder Kumar Mittal, age 74, of Springfield, Virginia passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021. Surinder Mittal was born in Dharamkot, India on February 15, 1947. He spent his early years growing up in Moga, India along with his seven siblings. In 1978, he fulfilled his dream to come to the United States in order to provide a better life for his family. Hard-working and determined, Surinder found his way in the service industry, and for over thirty years, he selflessly mentored others and cultivated long-term relationships. However, his greatest achievement was building a beautiful family. His favorite pastime was to spoil his wife and three daughters. He was even more thrilled as his family expanded to include seven grandchildren, who he spoiled more than his own daughters. He enjoyed daily walks, going to the temple, enjoying the beach, and sightseeing. He will be remembered most for his warm smile, his gentlemanly demeanor, and his extreme patience. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nirmal Mittal; 3 daughters: Deepika Narula (Spouse: Amit Narula), Sonia Chopra (Spouse: Bobby Chopra); Nitika Sood (Spouse: Shalin Sood); and 7 Grandkids: Shyla, Shivan, Sanav, Sia, Saisha, Saiya, & Siona.
