Terry Eugene Good

Terry Eugene Good, age 75, of Falls Church, Virginia passed away at his home on July 30, 2026, surrounded by his children and grandchildren after a battle with brain cancer (Glioblastoma). Born on June 29, 1951, and raised in Falls Church, Virginia, Terry attended J.E.B. Stuart High School, now known as Justice High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Galen and Crystine Good.

Terry was previously married to Robin Good for 35 years, and together they raised their four children in Vienna. He is survived by his children: Crystine (David Nielsen) Good, Adrienne (Ethan) Isleib, Laura (Luis) Martinez, and Braxton (Erin) Good. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren—Max, Andi, Kya, Jocelyn, Callie, Zavier, Ezekiel, Zoe, Ezme, Reagan, and Mckenna—as well as his siblings, Susan (Norman Therrien) Good and Lana (Robert) Yoder.

Terry’s greatest joys were his children, grandchildren, friends, the beach, boating and jet skiing, all things food, and sports—especially football and baseball. He coached several youth football teams in Vienna and was affectionately called a “fence bird” at many baseball games.

A skilled general contractor and master carpenter, Terry built and remodeled homes up and down the East Coast. He earned a reputation for high-quality workmanship and unwavering dedication to the craft. He had the privilege of learning the trade from his father and uncles, working alongside them throughout much of his career, helping countless families turn their dream homes into reality.

After retirement, Terry moved to Carolina Beach to enjoy the ocean year-round. His grandchildren cherished their visits with Grandpa Terry, swimming, hunting for shark teeth, strolling the boardwalk, and discovering the island’s best food together. His love for them, and for the simple pleasures of family and the shore, will be remembered always.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to our friends and extended family for the love, kindness, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time. Your comforting words, thoughtful gestures, and unwavering presence have brought us strength and peace, and we are sincerely grateful for your compassion.

Terry knew the heartbreak of glioblastoma long before his own diagnosis. Fifteen years ago, he lost one of his closest friends, Louis, to this devastating disease. When Terry was diagnosed with glioblastoma himself, he was saddened to learn how many of the same challenges and limited treatment options still remained.

One of Terry’s greatest hopes became that future families would have more treatment options—and more hope—than he and Louie did.

In Terry’s memory, we invite you to support the National Brain Tumor Society, whose work advances research, advocates for increased federal funding, and strives to improve the lives of patients and families affected by brain tumors.

It is our hope that, through continued research and innovation, future patients and families will have more options, more time, and more hope.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Murphy’s Funeral Home in Falls Church, Virginia. A Graveside Service will follow on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Virginia. Dress attire for all events is casual beachy / Hawaiian.
