Born March 1, 1927 in Saigon, Vietnam to Bang Luc and Ngoc Dam, he was able to persevere through what others would define as a childhood full of obstacles.
After the early death of both his parents and sister, he dropped out of school at the age of 12 to help raise and support his 6 siblings. Thanh’s strong character for being a resilient hard worker, and desire to provide and help others were cultivated during this ripe age.
Having left all his possessions behind when he immigrated to America with his family. He worked tirelessly around the clock to provide and to create a better life for them.
Never complaining, always keeping his spirits up, he always showed humility and was grateful for every outcome. He believed in lending a hand and uplifting others to succeed. He always shared his wealth and possessions with others - whether to family or strangers.
He also strongly valued unity, so he chose to be the grounding to connect and bind everyone together. He chose to see the best in people, and was never judgmental.
He is survived by and will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 51 years of marriage, Can; his daughter Jennifer (Kevin), and his 3 grandchildren: Alexander, Nathan, and Natalie and 4 remaining siblings.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a dear friend to many. His warmth, guidance, and unwavering care will be remembered always in everyone’s hearts.
His only unfulfilled wish was to see his grandson, Nathan take his first steps before he departed. In true nature of his altruism and desire to help others, in lieu of flowers, you can mark his passing with a tribute gift to https://iahp.org/donate/. They helped make tremendous strides with his grandchildren.
Before his passing, his other deepest regret was not being able to extend a helping hand to his nephew in Vietnam whom recently suffered a coma. With surmounting hospitalization bills and extensive rehabilitation to follow, he was gravely concerned. Thanh, never deserted a family member in need.
Monetary donations are also welcomed in lieu of flowers. The most important gift he would like for you to remember is to share a random act of kindness with someone this month in his honor. Yet, another Earth angel returns back to heaven … God bless him for all the years he has been on Earth to illuminate love and light.
