Tom passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Thursday, March 19, 2015 after a valiant battle with a brain tumor. Tom was born and raised in Falls Church, Virginia. He is survived by his wife Michelle Bennett, his parents Stephen and Hope Barber, his sister Christine D. Barber and 3 step children Kelli Collier, Justin Bennett and Kyle Bennett.
Tom always lived life to the fullest; he loved hiking, camping, snowboarding, the beach, golf and just being surrounded by family and friends.
Tom's kind-hearted smile, generosity and incredible sense of humor touched many lives and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday March 27, 2015 at 1 PM at National Funeral Home with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Foundation for the National Institutes of Health in Tom's honor to assist and support others who are battling this tragic illness.
