I was thinking of Uncle Tom earlier this week and last.  He was always quietly there when it mattered.  During my Father's last weeks he always stopped by on his way home from work and sat with him.  

He supported and helped so many when they were in need.  Too many to list.  He never made it public or took credit for these acts of kindness.
