On October 3, 2012, of cancer while residing in Tampa, FL (former resident of Falls Church, VA). Beloved husband of Jeannine K. Cavanaugh (deceased), and loving father of Thomas J. Cavanaugh II (Carol) of Charlotte, NC, Sean J. Cavanaugh (Judith) of Tampa, FL, Kevin D. Cavanaugh (Donna) of Keller, TX, and Patrick O. Cavanaugh (Alison LeMaster) of Tallahassee, FL; brother of Daniel J. Cavanaugh (Stevensville, MT), cousin to Betty Jo Ravitz of San Pedro, CA, uncle to Michael A. (Rosemary) Duch (Aberdeen, SD), William J. Kiser III (Huron, SD), and Lisa A. Kiser (Rapid City, SD), and grandfather to Colleen, Kimberly, Mathew,
Jordan, Devon, Garrett, Cameron, Carcy, Callie, Carter, Samantha Ross, and Kerri Cavanaugh.
A memorial service in Falls Church is planned for November.
