

Timothy Paul Biggs of Warrenton Virginia, born in Greensville, SC, son of Gerald and Patricia Biggs of Tulsa Oklahoma, passed away July 06, 2015 surrounded by family
Raised in Vincennes Indiana and a graduated from Rivet High School in 1971 after which he was an accepted nominee and graduate of Annapolis Naval Academy. Tim received Shipman of the Year in his senior year, and given the honorary title of "Admiral of the Chesapeake Bay" by Maryland Governor Marvin Mandel. Tim received these honors for his work with the local Annapolis Chapter of the Big Brothers group as treasurer and president. Under his leadership Big Brothers Annapolis Chapter expanded to include some 175 midshipmen.
Followed by 18 years of service in the United States Marine Corps as an Officer, he was first commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant. He was stationed in Camp Lejeune and eventually transferred to the 8th Engineers Support Battalion in 1977. He then went on to the Marine Corp Recruitment Center in Buffalo, NY in 1979 for three years after which he went on to the US Engineering School in Fort Belvoir in 1983; tour of duty in Okinawa. In 1984 he returned to Camp Lejeune as an Operations Officer until departing the Corp as a Captain in 1987.
Tim continued his career working for our Federal Government, as the Director and Chief of Biometrics for the US Immigration and Naturalization Service. His most memorable accomplishment for the Federal Government was to help establish and implement an automated fingerprint identification system; currently a fully operational mission critical system in use today.
Tim is survived by his mother, father, Sister Linda Biggs, Brother Tom Biggs (Julie Biggs), wife Sonia Anca-Biggs and five children Elise Pyron (Jimmy Pyron), Mark Biggs, Amanda Biggs, Jonathan Biggs, Dominic Biggs and 3 grandchildren.
