Born on May 10, 1946, in Warren, Ohio, to Clarence and Jean Boyd, Twyla's journey was marked by compassion, dedication, and a profound commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Twyla's roots were planted in the halls of Warren G Harding High School, where her spirit of kindness and warmth began to blossom. Twyla pursued her passion for helping others by obtaining a degree in Social Work from Kent State University, a journey that laid the foundation for her remarkable 40+ year career as a dedicated Social Worker.
Throughout her more than four decades of service, Twyla's impact resonated deeply within the community. She lent her heart to senior services, including the invaluable Meals on Wheels program, and extended her caring touch to animal rescue and welfare causes. Twyla's tireless dedication reflected her unwavering belief in the power of compassion to transform lives.
In Vienna, Virginia, she united her life with Dr. Ronald J Frank, and together they forged a bond that would endure the tests of time.
Twyla is now reunited with her beloved parents, Clarence and Jean Boyd, her beloved husband Ron Frank, and her sister, Kay Williams, in the eternal embrace of peace. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, cherished by her surviving sons, Darren and Travis Tompkins, and stepchildren Deborah Stanley, Ken Frank, and Rebecca Frank-Hogren. Twyla's adoration extends to her precious grandchildren: Josie, Izzy, Carson, Carter, and Ella Tompkins; Robert, Jeffery, and Rachel Stanley; Danny and Claire Frank; and Alexis Hogren.
The family of Twyla wishes to express their profound gratitude to the caring souls at Kensington Falls Church, VITAS Health, and Geovanka Salvatierra for their unwavering support during this challenging time.
A celebration of Twyla's remarkable life will be held at King David Memorial Park, where we will come together to honor the legacy of a woman whose heart knew no bounds. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to one of Twyla's cherished causes, continuing the compassionate work she held dear to her heart.
May Twyla's spirit continue to inspire and her memory live on in the countless lives she touched with her boundless love and generosity.
