Obituary of Victoria Q Calvo
On the serene afternoon of May 31st, 2024, under the gentle embrace of the sun's rays, Victoria Quitugua Calvo, affectionately known as "Vicky", peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord at the age of 69, following a valiant battle with cancer. Born on February 23, 1955 in Rota of the Northern Mariana Islands, Vicky's life was a testament to unwavering dedication and boundless love. She was the cherished "Grandmamu” or “Mamu” to her grandchildren, "Mom" to her children, and the beloved "Sweetheart" to her husband, radiating warmth and compassion to all who knew her. Vicky’s presence was the cornerstone of her family, a guiding light through life's journey. She found immense joy in nurturing her children and grandchildren, cheering them on in their endeavors with unwavering support. A culinary artist in the kitchen, she delighted in creating sumptuous meals for everyone, infusing each dish with love and care. Her green thumb and eye for design transformed every space she touched into a vibrant oasis of beauty and tranquility. Her tireless work ethic, boundless kindness, and selflessness endeared her to all who crossed her path. With a radiant smile and an open heart, she welcomed friends and family into her home, making everyone feel cherished and valued. Her love knew no bounds, and she reveled in the warmth of family gatherings, where laughter and love flowed freely. In her new life, Victoria is reunited with her parents, Antonio R. Quitugua & Maria O. Quitugua, her sister, Ana Q. Klinge, her parents-in-law, Carlos S. Calvo & Sabina M. Calvo, and her brothers/sisters-in-law, Oscar Calvo, Vicente Calvo, Beato Calvo, Pedro Duenas, Jr., Fortunato Manglona, Juan Torres, Rodney Klinge, Harry Sauer, Norman Davis, Maria Calvo, Maria Manglona, Maria Magdelena Taisacan, and Nicolasa Quitugua, their spirits forever intertwined with hers. Though she has bid farewell to this earthly realm, her love and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her devoted husband of 46 years, Gerald Calvo; her sons, Gerald Calvo II and wife, Irene “Chin”; Tano Calvo and wife Gladys; Carlos Calvo and wife Ashley; her daughter, Sabia Anderson and husband, Charvin “CJ”, and her adoring grandchildren, Gianni Calvo, Fatima Charfauros, Lahe Calvo, Ihu Calvo, Gerald Anthony Calvo, Isa Anderson and Matua Anderson. She will be missed by her siblings, their spouses, and family: Danny & Barbara Quitugua, Anuncia Sauer, Teresita Morris & Scott Lynn, Rose & Randall Cunliffe, Antonio & Diana Quitugua, Rosita & Rudy Matanane, and Bennette & Michael Mosley. She will also be missed by her brothers/sisters-in-law and their family: Isabel & Jose Seman, Maria “Mako” Torres, Charlie & Antoinette Calvo, Salomae Calvo, Julita Calvo, Roman & Jesusa Calvo, Danny & Pasquana Calvo, Lucia & Aniceto Mundo, Maria Duenas, Tomas & Cecilia Calvo, and David & Annette Calvo. She leaves behind a vast circle of nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and friends, all of whom were touched by her boundless love and generosity. While we mourn her physical absence, we take solace in the enduring legacy of love and kindness she leaves behind, forever etched in our hearts. We express our heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and prayers extended to us during this incredibly challenging time. Thank you all from the depths of our hearts. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 12 noon at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Aldie, VA.
