My friend and co-worker Mr. Ly,
I miss you VERY  much and to know that you are in a better place,
may you rest in peace.  I miss your laughter and your jokes and you always kept me smiling and laughing even when I did not feel like laughing.  We had a special working  relationship that only you and I would understand,  We  had  our own way of joking with each other where I would say to you  Hey Geico! and you would respond and if anyone else would
try to say that to you, you would say only Joyce can call me that (smile).  My heart goes out to your family during this time and you will always have a SPECIAL place in my heart.

Mr. Ly had a great sense of humor, he was the go to person to investigate and negotiate a deal that you may have been interested in purchasing, and was pleasant to be around.   He will be missed!

May God give you strength when yours is gone, may His grace and mercy carry you on.

Mr. Ly used to send my daughter puzzles when she was younger. She sent him a picture of her holding one of them, a 3D dragon. When I retired from the Postal Service, he still had it hanging in his locker. He always made us laugh with his silly signs and humor. We are very sorry for your loss. He will be missed.- The Tate Family

We miss Uncle Vinh dearly. He was a very caring and generous man who was always available to aid his friends and family. Nothing can take his place in our hearts, but we can learn from his example and live up to his memory. May we meet again.

Uncle Vinh will always be remembered by my wife Kim Dinh and I as the caring, wonderful person he always was. He had a huge heart and cared a lot for the family, and for that we shall always be grateful. Rest in peace, dear uncle. May we be family again another time.

Uncle Vinh had a smile that would lift you up and always had encouraging words to say. He was one of the nicest persons I’ve known. From my memories of childhood, I remember he always treated me with kindness and love. Just reading the other memories that have been left here, it shows how much kindness he brought to everyone. He had a wonderful and giving heart. I will miss him.

He was a good man, good  co-worker, and a great friend to everyone at merrifield post office. He always enjoyed working and laughed and joked with friends,  He always had a great smile. We will miss him. Rest in peace with God.

I am completely heartbroken to lose a dear friend and a coworker suddenly 
It’s a very huge shock and the place he occupied in our postal family will be immensely missed 
When my kid was born back in 1999,Mr.Ly found about the good news and gifted me with a lucky pendant and a chain for him which he still has it.
I will definitely miss a good friend and a coworker

Mr. Ly, was my co-worker, but more importantly he was my friend! If you knew Vinh, you know that if you asked him to find you something (anything), Ly would get back to you with several options. Ly, was a very, and I do mean very intelligent man. I am born here in America, while Ly was a refugee from Vietnam. But Ly would help me understand some of the technical information we had to learn at Merrifield's BMEU USPS. Ly was extremely helpful and caring person. I have been out sick since Christmas 2019. I texted my family and friends in the first part of March to let them know I was home from the hospital and doing better. Ly called me on the 3rd and 6th of March. I wasn't physically or mentally ready to speak to anyone so his and many others phone calls were not returned. However on Easter, April 12, 2020 I texted him to pray that he and his family were alright. Ly, had never texted me before ((the 12 years I known him to have a cell phone), and he texted me back and said these words I will always remember, "I don't need a text, I want to hear your voice!" 
               Love you my brother!

Merrifield BMEU employees and customers have known Mr. Vinh Ly as a good friendly, caring, and responsible employee.
As a quiet person, Mr. Ly had always made us smile and laugh with all the signage that he created.
As a quiet person, Mr. Ly never turned us down when we asked for help. 
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Mr. Vinh Ly who was our colleague and our mentor.
We will truly miss him

Mr. Vinh Ly always had a smile on his face, when I came to Merrifield with my non profit A Woman’s Choice pregnancy resource center mailing. Because I was new at the bulk mail processing, and probably looked a little lost, Mr Vinh Ly came out to help me and worked so well with me and we got the 800 letters mailed with no problem. Because of that great experience I had, I keep returning here for all my work bulk mail processing. May our Heavenly Father receive Mr Vinh Ly with open arms, and provide consolation to his loved ones left behind.
