William Barton

William "Bill" Barton was born on September 15, 1943, in Philadelphia PA. Bill is survived by his son, Brandon W. Donovan; his daughter-in-law, Bailey Donovan; and his grandchildren, Rowan and Quinn. He also leaves his twin sister, Nancy Scott; his niece, Sharon Scott; and his nephews, Sean and Max Selby. Aso surviving is his longtime partner, Nora Donovan.

Bill graduated from Wakefield High School and the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. He held a master's degree from the University of Maryland; paralegal certification from George Mason University; and, he was a licensed realtor. A career Federal employee, Bill served during the Nixon administration and at the DEA. He was a proud member of the Army-Navy Country Club, where he hosted many family gatherings, enjoyed golf, and excelled at tennis.

Bill valued his friendships and enjoyed many interests, especially his beloved cats.

A visitation for William will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042.
