"My deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Bill Hathaway. I was very fortunate to have met such a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. I had the opportunity to provide care for Mr. Hathaway's wife Mary when she was living. I will always cherish the good talks and laughs we had. May his soul rest in peace"

I didn't get enough time with you Bill. There isn't anything I wouldn't have done for you to make you comfortable especially towards the end. I was honored to have been aloud to be your caretaker. I will never forget the talks and times together with you and the kindness you had towards my children and me. You took us in like you had known us forever and talked to my children as if they were your own grandkids. Your laugh was contagious, your words were soothing even when you gave me "advise" or was steering me in the right direction. You had a full life I just wish you would of made it to your 100 birthday to bet out everyone at the country club like you were trying to do:)
You'll stay in my thoughts for a long time Bill. Little Merle talks about things you've told him to his friends, you made a big impression on such an impressionable little boy sure wish he had more time with you too.
Thanks Bill for everything, we love you dearly.
Thanks Susan & Britton, Fred & Lee, Ben, William, for making us feel a part of your family, thank you for still being a part of our life.

My sincere condolences and warm regards to the Hathaway Family. Senator Hathaway was a wonderful person. I will always be grateful for his kindness in employing me on his staff fresh out of college...my very first job and his support for my current job (34 years). The world needs more people like the Senator!
