On Saturday, December 21, 2013, William Alan Kaplan, 58, of Silver Spring, MD, the loving son of the late Solomon and Dorothy Kaplan; beloved brother of Betsy Kaplan Sirk (Steven) and Daniel Kaplan (Marybeth); cherished uncle of David, Brian, Molly, Emerson, Weston, and Haley.
Bill retired after a career in human resources at GSA. He was an avid reader who enjoyed movies, music, museums, discussing current events, and spending time with family and friends. His kind, compassionate nature was felt by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
Funeral Services will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD. Interment will follow in King David Memorial Gardens at 12:00 p.m. Falls Church, VA.
