William Stafford McPhee

home in Falls Church, Virginia, surrounded by his family. He was born in Mataura, New Zealand to Lesley Malcolm Mcphee and Annie Mcphee (neeStafford) on June 25, 1930. Having lived in New Zealand, the Netherlands,and England and having traveled all over the world as a civil engineer.He enjoyed living in England the most and, after moving to the USA, enjoyed twice-yearly trips back to England for extended summer vacations with his wife of 67 years Theodore Elisabeth McPhee, who Died on October 15, 2016. He is survived by his daughter, Louise Ann Basso-Luca (nee McPhee) of Silver Spring, Maryland; his son, Andrew Stafford Mcphee of Falls Church,Virginia; his grandchildren, Melissa Basso-Luca of Silver Spring, Maryland, Abraham Sebastian Mcphee and Adriaan Willem Mcphee of Falls Church,Virginia as well as his daughter-in-law Alicia Corina Mcphee of Falls Church, Virginia, his niece Dorian Boef of Eindhoven, Netherlands and his nephew Steve Mcphee of Rangiora Canterbury, New Zealand. He will be deeply missed by everyone. A memorial service for William will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Murphy Funeral Homes, 1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA 22046.
