William Carlos Postell

Retired Senior MSgt William “Bill” Postell of McLean, VA, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 11. The funeral service will be Friday, January 17, 5:30 pm, at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Hwy; Falls Church, VA. Final burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. Bill was born October 24, 1936 in Americus, GA, and enlisted in the Air Force in 1954. He retired from the Air Force as a Satellite Systems Superintendent in 1975, after having served in Greece, Turkey, Philippines and elsewhere. Among other awards, he was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal. Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 20 years, Anna Maria Postell (née Cowan), and his four wonderful children: Carla, Michelle, Billy and Crystal of his deceased ex-wife Jean.
