William E. Whitmoyer

William E. Whitmoyer, Son of the late Jason Whitmoyre and Mildred Polk, was born on September 9, 1925 in Berwick, Pennsylvania.He departed this life on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia.

He married Charlotte Whitmoyer, and out of this union he leaves two surviving sons, James Whitmoyer, and Russell Whitmoyer, Sr. Bill leaves to mourn: sister, Carol Swank; daughters-in-law, Jane Whitmoyer and Diane Whitmoyer, as well as four grandchildren: Jennifer Whitmoyer, Russell Whitmoyer Jr.,Ryan Whitmoyer, and Leigh Faugust; and two great-grandchildren, Kendra Whitmoyer and Austin Holland; along with a host of family, friends and neighbors. He served in the United States Marine Corp as a Sargent from June 1943- February 1946 and Staff Sargent from March 1951- February 1952. Bill worked at the Navy Annex Head Quarters as an Inventory Management Specialist. Bill made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed by all. He was truly a great father and a wonderful friend to everyone he knew. Viewing will be Saturday September 25 9:00- 11:00 A.M. at National Funeral Home. Graveside service and burial will immediately follow at National Memorial Park.Arrangements under the direction of National Funeral Home, Falls Church, VA.
