Home was where he found his greatest fulfillment. He will be fondly remembered for his generous heart which he so willing shared. His sense of humor, quick wit, impeccable memory, dedication to family, strong work ethic, honest nature, and steadfast faith are just a few of the hallmarks that make “Pop” so loved and admired. He spent 35 years driving a bus for Queens Transit and took on several side jobs through the years to provide selflessly for his family of eight.
He is now united in Heaven with the love of his life, his wife Gail, his eldest daughter Margaret (Margie), his daughter-in-law Kathy, his granddaughter Leeann, and his great granddaughters Kailey and Coral. He is survived by his children Edmund and his wife Mary, Anthony, Gail, Stephen, Susan, and his son-in-law John. His legacy is furthered by his grandchildren John, Matthew, Daniel, Kimberly, Becca, Caige, Devin, Eric, Cullen, Jase, and Joshua and his great grandchildren Jake, Shaine, Mason, Isla, Mia, Charlotte, Finn, Elena, Lucy, and Beau.
Pop lived large by living simply, loving deeply, caring passionately, and sharing whatever he had, however scarce, with those in need. Family was his focus and greatest joy. Pop will live forever in the hearts of the people he touched because of how valued he made them feel. From two young people from Queens, who were both only children, an amazing family tree grew and flourished because of the love, commitment, guidance, and sacrifice that was shared.
