Duncan McArthur

Duncan McArthur passed away on July 20, 2026, in the comfort of his home. He was born on September 15, 1958, to his loving parents, Todd and Alma McArthur.

Duncan was the beloved husband of Elizabeth, with whom he shared 25 wonderful years of love and companionship. He was a devoted father to Kelly McArthur and a loving stepfather to Fred Scadin (Kelli) and Christine Scadin-Kostyo (Tony). He was the adored grandfather of Rachel, Kai, and Joe, whose lives were enriched by his love and guidance.

He was the cherished brother of Todd (Enid), Leslie (Deb), and the late John McArthur. Duncan was also a loving uncle to Chloe and Jamie and will be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Duncan was an exceptional fisherman and a skilled arborist with a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors. He found great joy in nature, gardening, and caring for his beautiful property, which reflected his dedication, hard work, and love of the natural world. Whether tending his gardens or spending time on the water, Duncan found happiness in the simple beauty of life and generously shared that passion with those around him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made directly to Elizabeth and the family.

Family and friends are invited to gather for Visitation on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a Religious Funeral Service beginning at 12:30 p.m., at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale, New York 11735.
