Born on June 30, 1932, to loving parents Mary and Charles Moesch, Elaine was a woman whose heart was as vast as the skies she loved to watch. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip Krawchuk and a proud, nurturing mother to Carrie Monico, Jeanne Dravants (John), and the late Philip C. Krawchuk (Dorothy). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren Ryan (Karen), Anthony (Tara), Johnny, Daniel (Allison), and Derek (Julia), and her adored great-grandchildren Olivia, Molly, and Michael.
Elaine is also remembered as the dear sister of the late Charles, Richard, and Jack Moesch. Though she has joined them in rest, the warmth of her presence will continue to shine through the many lives she touched.
Elaine was a passionate lover of nature — a keen birdwatcher, she found peace and joy in the simple act of “owl hunting” at the Planting Fields and in the quiet magic of rainstorms and snowy days. A true spirit of the seasons, she especially loved Christmastime, keeping a tree glowing in her home all year round.
Her work with the school district’s transportation department brought her lifelong friendships, and her generous, service-driven heart made her a pillar of strength and compassion for all who knew her. Elaine relished a good party in her younger days, loved being involved in her community, and carried a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures of life.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Elaine’s life at a visitation on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 2–4 PM and 7–9 PM at Arthur F. White Funeral Homes, 234 Broadway, Bethpage, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Martin of Tours Church in Bethpage. Private final disposition.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Elaine’s memory to the Disabled American Veterans, a cause close to her heart.
Elaine gave endlessly, loved deeply, and lived fully — her spirit will be forever missed and fondly remembered.
