Ellen Catherine Sullivan

Ellen Catherine (Moroney) Sullivan, 70, of Long Beach, NY, formerly of Farmingdale, NY entered into eternal rest on August 27, 2025. She was born on July 15, 1955 in New York City to Robert Moroney & Catherine Tennyson Moroney. She was a Registered Nurse for over 45 years, proudly serving her community at Long Beach Medical Center and NYU Winthrop Hospital. Ellen loved relaxing at the beach & swimming in the ocean, riding her bicycle on the Long Beach boardwalk and walking her dog Seamus. She was the ultimate “Irish dance mom”, always there to support her daughter and travel the world for competitions. She was a deeply compassionate and loyal friend, with a presence that brightened every room she entered.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jeremiah Sullivan, their daughter Deirdre (Sullivan) Valinsky and her husband Adam, and 2 grandchildren, Avery and Liam. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Moroney, Rita Legotti, Christine London, sister-in-law Lesley Mulholland, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A visitation will be held at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, located at 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735, on September 3, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The funeral mass will take place at St. James' Catholic Church, 80 Hicksville Rd, Seaford, NY 11783, on September 4, 2025, at 10:30 am.
