Marino, Fortunato C., "Mike", 86, longtime Bethpage resident passed away May 27, 2024. Beloved husband of 45 years to the late Rosalie. Loving father of Charles (Katherine), Michael, Anthony (Selena) and Paul. Cherished grandfather of Charles, Cristina, Brandon (Jennifer), Lisa, Nicholas, Thomas, Olivia, Isabella, Teddy, Alex and Scarlett. Predeceased by his eight siblings. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Growing up Mike was often referred to as “Mikey Blue Eyes”. He retired from Brooklyn Union Gas Company after many years, but his working days did not end there. Mike then worked as a security guard for over 20 years for Bethpage Schools. He had an amazing work ethic, working multiple jobs while his children were growing up, but his family always came first. His priority was always his family, he coached his children in various sports and never missed an event for his grandchildren. As life got busier for his children and grandchildren, they still got together for weekly dinners. Mike traveled the world with his wife and children making many unforgettable memories. He was the former president of the Bethpage Senior Club, Bethpage Little League Coach and played softball for a senior league. Mike was not one to sit idly, he enjoyed fishing, crabbing, gardening and taking lucky trips to Jakes 58. Mike was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He will be forever missed. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, June 4th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Wednesday, June 5th, 10 am at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Interment following at St. Charles Cemetery.
