Joseph E. Traina

Traina, Joseph E., 73, of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly of Farmingdale passed away November 23, 2023. Beloved husband of 49 years to the late Regina. Loving father of Joseph (Amy), Christopher (Jennifer), Douglas, Matthew and Melissa (Nick). Cherished Grandpa of Alexis, Sofia and Christian. Adored brother of Christine Carlton (the late Wesley). Treasured uncle of Wesley and Lynn and great-uncle of four great-nieces and great-nephews. Joseph retired after 30+ years working as a draftsman for Con Edison. He was strong-willed and had a good sense of humor which kept family and friends on their toes. Joseph was a proud coach for Farmingdale Baseball for many years. He was a passionate bowler, participating in tournaments all over. He was Past President for the Eastern Long Island Bowling Association and a member of the United States Bowling Congress. If you asked Joseph where he wanted to go for dinner, he always chose his favorite restaurant, Mary's Pizza in Farmingdale. The family will receive visitors Thursday, November 30th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Service Friday, December 1st, 10 am at the funeral home. Interment following at St. Charles Cemetery.
