Izzo, Joy, 73, born on March 20, 1947, in Corona NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 9, 2020. Loving mother of Jessica Sheahan and son-in-law Rick Sheahan. Devoted grandmother of Michael and Emma Sheahan. Cherished sister of Tom and Marty Fazio, aunt to Kristin Fazio, and beloved niece of Yolanda Caroppoli. Joy touched the lives of everyone she met. She always had a smile, a story to make you laugh, and a cup of coffee for you. She helped and cared for a countless number of people over the course of her lifetime, not only as a Registered Nurse, but also as a family member and friend. She loved music and family sing-alongs, spending time at the beach, baking cookies with her grandkids, and shoe shopping. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will have a memorial mass at St. Martin of Tours in Bethpage and a celebration of Joy's life some time in the near future.
