It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Loretta Stork, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on October 18, 2025, at the age of 85.
Born on July 3, 1940, in Queens, NY, Loretta was the beloved daughter of the late Emil Traber and Emma (Seibold) Traber, who immigrated from Fellbach, Germany in search of a better life. In 1962, she married her soulmate, William J. Stork, and together they settled in Farmingdale, NY, where they lived for 53 beautiful years together raising their three sons with unwavering love, dedication, and joy.
Loretta was a woman of grace, strength, and unwavering love. She devoted her life to her family, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional support. A woman of many passions, she found joy in singing with the choir at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, cherished time spent skiing and traveling, and took pride in her involvement with the Boy Scouts.
Loretta was preceded in death by her sister, Norma L. Athey, her beloved husband, William J. Stork, and her cherished son, William E. Stork. She is survived by her loving sons, James Stork and Brian Stork, her devoted daughter-in-law, Nicole Stork, and her adored grandchildren, Benjamin Stork, Emma Stork, and Dakota Stork, along with many relatives and friends who will miss her deeply.
Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on forever in our hearts. Her memory will forever be a blessing.
