Maria Rafaela Robarge

Robarge, Maria Rafaela, 84, longtime Bethpage resident, passed away February 12, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Clarence. Loving mother of Anabela Lynch (Walter), Telmo Machado (Monique), Kevin Robarge, Steve Robarge (Deba) and Sandy Lang (Gene). Cherished grandmother of Jacklyn, Lauren, Nicholas, Luke, Lily, Ashley, Sarah, Janelle, Trevor, and the late Corey. Adored great-grandmother of Dominick, CJ, Genevieve, Finnegan, Evelyn, and Greyson. Dear sister of Maria Connie Brown. Rafaela’s family was her world, and she did everything and anything she could for them. She was strong-willed but had a heart of gold and would do anything to lend a helping hand. Rafaela was an excellent cook, and her specialty was Portuguese cuisine. Her infamous alcatra was always her family’s favorite and most requested meal. She was also a skilled seamstress, sewing her entire family’s clothes. In her spare time, you would usually find her watching her favorite show, General Hospital, or shopping on QVC and HSN. Rafaela will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. The family will receive visitors Sunday, February 18th, 3-7 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Service Monday, February 19th, 10 am at the funeral home. Interment following at Calverton National Cemetery.
