Marie H. Ludwig

Ludwig, Marie H., 100, lifelong Bethpage resident, passed away April 8, 2022. Reunited in heaven with her beloved husband George, and welcomed by all of her family and friends who departed this world before her. Loving mother of George Ludwig (Lorraine) and Gail Myers (Chuck). Proud grandmother of Peter (Jackie), Jack (Mickey), Christine Smolenski (John Paul), Michael (Kari), and Thomas. Survived by former daughter- in- law Marie Ludwig. Cherished great grandmother of Rory, Catherine, Mary, Madison, John-Paul Jr., and Chase. Marie attended St. Ignatius Grade School and graduated Hicksville High School in 1940. Retired from Grumman in June of 1983. Marie was honored at 97 years of age for being the oldest active member at St. James RC Church. Proud member of the Plainedge Ladies Club and the Bethpage Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Marie enjoyed gardening, bowling and even drove until she was 98. The family will receive visitors Sunday, April 10th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Monday, April 11th, 10:30 am, at St. James RC Church, Seaford. Interment following at St. John of Jerusalem Cemetery, Wantagh.
