Patricia was born April 6th, 1940, in Middle Village, Queens and her life was a light that shone on everyone she met.
Patricia was loved by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence (deceased); her children, Marc (Natalie), David (deceased), Christian (Michele), Julian (Donna) and Luke (Nhina); her siblings, Paula (deceased), Judy and Peter; and her grandchildren, Tyler, Julia, Isabel, Jaden, Alex, Patrick, Emory, Shane, Owen, Maya, and Adrian.
As a graduate of Dominican Commercial High School Class of 1957, Patricia started friendships that she kept for her entire life. She treated everyone from strangers to cherished friends with compassion, warmth and dignity. Her ability to truly listen and connect with others was a special gift.
When she was a young girl, Patricia dreamed most of all of having a family, and it was a dream fulfilled. She enjoyed the pleasures of family above all. At her Farmingdale home of over 60 years, Patricia and Lawrence built a welcoming haven for their children and friends, and a place their grandchildren could create their own treasured memories.
Patricia loved serving the Farmingdale community by working at the public library for decades. A woman of faith, Patricia was an active member of the Our Lady of Lourdes parish. Throughout her life, Patricia was an avid reader who enjoyed a good book, working on a jigsaw puzzle, and having a comforting cup of tea.
Patricia Farrell leaves this world a better place because of her presence. In words and in actions, she set an example of compassion and kindness. Her undeniable strength as a person derived from her innate goodness. Her selflessness knew no bounds, and her love and grace set a path we will all strive to continue.
