Cindy, your dad was a great credit to Bethpage. While I am sad to hear that he has died, I am happy to know that you too enjoyed him. He played fast pitch softball with my brothers Buddy and Eddy. He could hit the ball a mile, played a mean left field and was unique at the plate, with his tongue stuck out of the left side of his mouth. In 1963, he and Buzzy Buzzerio sponsored Sunday afternoon dances for Bethpage's teenagers at the American Legion Hall down the street from the Pine Lodge - a great thing! My other brothers ( Billie - deceased, Artie in Florida and Kenny in Michigan went to BHS with Ralph Ruggerio - please say hello to him for us. We lived on Cambridge Ave, just down the street from Charlie Caronia on Powell Ave. I seem to recall hearing Charlie say that your dad was his uncle. Say hello to Charlie for me. God Bless You! To my aunt Lois, and cousins Cindy, Liz and Paul:

Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time and while I know it hurts, take comfort in the facts that uncle Paul loved each of you immensely and the pride and joy of his life was his family. 

Growing up on the other side of the country, the highlight of many of my years, was the chance to spend time with you guys, whether it was at Christmas, in the summer, or spring break, it was always the best time of the year. And the best part of that was being included in the gang, shown no mercy whatsoever, and joining in whatever riot happened to be brewing at the time.  If you recall, we all spent a great deal of those times laughing our asses off, often unable to even breath. Much of that joy was triggered by uncle Paul who simply had a tremendous sense of humor. One of the warmest people I've ever known.

Funny, friendly, and generous to a fault, your Dad was also often protective of you guys as well as being willing to stick up for the little guy, even strangers. 

Uncle Paul will, of course, be greatly missed, but will always be greatly loved. I know its a cliche, but he does live on in each of you. Whenever you encounter a shared smile or a good joke, I hope each of you, as I am sure I will, think of him fondly and take a moment to have a good laugh as you know he would have wanted.

I love you guys and miss you. Take care of yourselves and each other.

Dad,
 I will miss you so much. You were always such a warm caring friendly person. Fun to be with. Willing to help others,. I am sure you are sitting around right now telling silly jokes & stories of growing up.

So sorry for your loss. Your Dad seemed like part of our family.  My mom was Phyllis Ruggiero and my uncles are Ralph and Joe Ruggiero.
